A very popular soft texture and mouth-watering Indian breakfast recipe. Soak the vada in curd mixture and enjoy
- Urad dal -2 cups
- chopped onions -1/2 cup
- chopped green chilli -1
- Chopped coriander leaves -1/2 cup
- Curry leaves -1/2 cup
- Baking soda -1/4 spoon
- Salt -1 spoon
- oil -for deep fry
- Oil -4 spoons
- Tempering seeds -1/2 spoon
- Ginger and garlic paste -1/2 spoon
- Curry leaves -1/2 cup
- Onions -1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder -1/4 spoon
- Red chilli powder -1/4 spoon
- Chopped tomato -1 cup
- Chopped coriander leaves -1/2 cup

Wash and soak urad dal for 5hours.

Drain the water and set aside.

Take a blender jar add urad dal and chopped green chill.

And also add chopped coriander and curry leaves, baking soda, salt.

Blend all of them coarsely.If necessary sprinkle very little water.

Take all the blended batter into a bowl, add chopped onions mix well and set aside.

Heat a pan add oil, tempering seeds, curry leaves. Let them splutter.

Add onions saute. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt stir well.

Add chopped tomato and coriander leaves mix well.

Fry until the tomato turns into mashy.

Remove from flame and adjust the salt.

Add curd to the mixture mix well and set aside.

Take blended urad dal batter wet your hands with water.

Take a small lemon sized ball of batter spread it into a vada on a plastic sheet.

Make a hole of vada so that it evenly cooks.

Heat a pan add oil to deep fry over a medium flame.

Drop the vada on hot oil and fry it on both sides until it turns golden brown colour.

Then transfer them to the curd mixture.

Let the vada soak in the curd mixture for 2 minutes.

Flip on other side and let them soak for 3 more minutes.

When they get soaked on both sides and becomes soft.

Add some water to mixture if necessary.
