They are so many types of tea and this is the favorite for many Indians because it is made with milk. This ginger tea is also named Allam Tea or Allam Chai in Telugu and Adrak Wali Chai in Hindi.

Tips for perfect Indian Allam chai:

  1. By crushing ginger in the tea pan the juice will remain in the pan, and our tea will turn super tasty.
  2. Do not add ginger and milk at a time. The milk will break. Boil ginger and then add boiled milk.
  3. By adding raw milk directly into the ginger tea sometimes it may break and the tea will spoil.
  4. For strong tea boil for few more minutes.

Ingredients
Ingredients for indian tea/allam chai:
  • ginger – a small piece
  • cardamom – 2
  • water – 1 glass
  • tea powder – 2 spoons
  • sugar – 1 1/2 spoon
  • milk – 1 glass
Instructions
Procedure for Indian tea/Allam chai:
  1. Take a piece of ginger peel it.

  2. Cut into small pieces and add to a tea pan.

  3. Add 2 cardamom and crush both of them.

  4. Pour a glass of water give a mix and start boiling over medium flame.

  5. Boil for 2 minutes.

  6. Add 2 spoons of tea powder and boil for a minute.

  7. Add 1 1/2 spoon of sugar and mix well.

  8. Pour a glass of boiled milk.

  9. Boil for a minute over a low flame.

  10. For strong tea boil for few more minutes otherwise switch off the fire.

  11. Filter the tea. pour into tea gasses or cups.

  12. Serve hot tea with biscuits.

Step by step procedure for Indian tea/Allam chai:

Pour a glass of water give a mix and start boiling over medium flame. Boil for 2 minutes.

Add 2 spoons of tea powder and boil for a minute.

Add 1 1/2 spoon of sugar and mix well.

By adding raw milk directly into the ginger tea sometimes it may break and the tea will spoil. Pour a glass of boiled milk. Do not add ginger and milk at a time. The milk will break. Boil ginger and then add boiled milk.

Boil for a minute over a low flame. For strong tea boil for few more minutes otherwise switch off the fire. Filter the tea. The tea will taste bitter if we over-boil.

Pour into tea gasses or cups. Serve hot tea with biscuits.
