Chicken pakora is a delicious crispy snack recipe can also serve as the starter. There are many ways of chicken pakora recipes. Here I have prepared with chickpea flour and cornflour. In step by step procedure.

To prepare chicken pakora in simple three steps the first step is to coat chicken with all the spices, the second step is to deep frying and finally, the last step is to garnish with chopped coriander and top with lemon juice.

The chicken mixed with all spices, chickpea flour, cornflour, curry leaves and corinader leaves gives both crispy and soft flavor.

Ingredients
Ingredients for chicken pakora
  • chicken boneless and skinless – 500 g
  • chickpea flour besan – 1 1/2 spoon
  • cornflour – 1 1/2 spoon
  • ginger and garlic paste – 1 spoon
  • chopeed curry leaves – 1/4 cup
  • chopped coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
  • salt – 1 spoon
  • oil – for deep fry
Spice powders
  • red chilli powder – 3/4 spoon
  • turmeric powder – 1/4 spoon
  • garam masala powder – 1/2 spoon
  • black pepper powder – 1/4 spoon
Garnish
  • chopped coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
  • lemon – 1
  • curry leaves – 1 bunch
Instructions
Procedure for chicken pakora
Adding spices to chicken
  1. Take a bowl add clean and drain chicken, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder.
  2. Add ginger and garlic paste, salt, pepper powder.
  3. Add chopped coriander and curry leaves mix well.
  4. Add chickpea flour(besan) and cornflour mix well and make a stiff moist dough.
  5. Close and rest it for at least 10-15 minutes.
Deep frying chicken
  1. Heat a kadai over medium flame add oil for deep fry.
  2. When the oil gets heated drop the batter coated chicken pieces one by one.
  3. Do not crowd them in the kadai. place the distance between each chicken piece to cook evenly.
  4. Fry both sides till the chicken pieces turns to golden red. Fry all the chicken pieces in batches.
  5. Remove the chicken pieces from oil. Take into a plate.
  6. The crispy hot chicken pakora is ready to serve.
  7. Serve chciken pakora as a snack or starter or appetizer.
Garnish
  1. Garnish with chopped coriander and curry leaves.
  2. Top chicken pakora with lemon juice.

Procedure for chicken pakora:

Adding spices to chicken:

Take a bowl to add clean and drain chicken.

Add 3/4 spoon of red chilli powder to make chicken spicy.

Add turmeric powder and garam masala powder.

Add ginger and garlic paste, salt, pepper powder.

Add chopped coriander and curry leaves mix well.

Mix well all the spices.

Add chickpea flour(besan) and cornflour mix well.

Mix well all the ingredients and make a stiff moist dough.

Close and rest it for at least 10-15 minutes.

Deep frying chicken:

Heat a kadai over the medium flame add oil for deep fry.

When the oil gets heated drop the batter coated chicken pieces one by one. Do not crowd them in the kadai. place the distance between each chicken piece to cook evenly.

Fry both sides till the chicken pieces turns to golden red. Fry all the chicken pieces in batches.

Remove the chicken pieces from oil.

Take into a tissue plate to remove excess oil. The crispy hot chicken pakora is ready to serve. Serve chciken pakora as a snack or starter or appetizer.

Garnish:

Garnish with chopped coriander and curry leaves. Top chicken pakora with lemon juice.
