chicken sandwich | grilled chicken and cheese sandwich recipe

Chicken sandwich mixed with mayonnaise, crunchy veggies, shredded boneless chicken, and other spices. This tasty chicken filling is spread on the bread slice, sprinkle with some grated cheese, and then grilled. This cheesy chicken sandwich full fills chicken lovers.

Ingredients

Ingredients for chicken sandwich:

Boiling chicken:

  • Boneless chicken - 250 g
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1 cup

Chicken filling:

  • Ghee - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped garlic - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped onions - 1/2 cup
  • Grated carrot - 1 cup
  • Chopped capsicum - 1 cup
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chilli sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 2 1/2 tablespoons
  • Grated cheese - 3 tablespoons
  • Butter - 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

Procedure for chicken sandwich:

Boiling chicken:

  1. Add 250 g boneless chicken to the pan.

  2. Add 2 bay leaves, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper powder, and 12 teaspoon of salt.

  3. Add 1 tablespoon of ginger and garlic paste, 1 tablespoon of oil, and a cup of water.

  4. Mix well, cover, and boil for 5 minutes.

  5. Stir occasionally and dry it completely.

  6. Let it cool shred the chicken pieces into thin strips.

  7. Take shredded chicken into a bowl and set aside.

Chicken filling:

  1. Heat a pan over medium flame and add a tablespoon of ghee.

  2. Add a teaspoon of chopped garlic, and 1/2 cup of chopped onions.

  3. Also, add a cup of grated carrots and a cup of chopped capsicum.

  4. Stir and fry for a minute.

  5. Add shredded chicken and stir well.

  6. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.

  7. Add 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder, 1/4 teaspoon of garam masala powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and mix well.

  8. Stir well and fry for a minute.

  9. Add a handful of chopped coriander leaves.

  10. Add 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce and 1 tablespoon of red chili sauce and mix well.

  11. Let it cool and transfer the chicken filling into a bowl.

  12. Mix 2 1/2 tablespoons of mayonnaise into the chicken filling.

  13. Add 1/4 teaspoon of pepper powder, and 1/4 cup of fresh coriander leaves and mix well.

  14. The chicken filling is ready. Let’s make the sandwich.

Cheesy chicken sandwich:

  1. Take a bread slice and spread 1 1/2 tablespoons of chicken filling evenly.

  2. Add 3 tablespoons of grated cheese. Place some fresh coriander this is optional.

  3. Cover with another bread slice and slightly press it.

Grilling chicken sandwich:

  1. Preheat the prestige sandwich maker for 2 minutes.

  2. Place the sandwich and spread 1/2 teaspoon of butter on the top of the bread slice.

  3. Close and grill for 3 minutes.

  4. The grilled cheesy chicken sandwich is ready to serve.

  5. Better serve a hot chicken sandwich slice and enjoy it with sliced tomatoes.

Recipe Notes

  • Prefer boneless chicken for a better taste.
  • Shred the chicken pieces into thin strips.
  • Can add more veggies as your choice.
  • Don’t over-fry the veggies should be crunchy.
  • Can add more or less pepper powder according to the spiciness.
  • Can grill the sandwich in the sandwich maker, grill pan, or normal pan.
  • If you fry in a pan then rub the butter & fry sandwich on both sides.
