Ingredients for sprouts chaat recipe:

Boiling:

  • Mixed sprouts - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 2 pinches

For chaat:

  • Chopped onions - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped tomatoes - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1 cup
  • Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

For garnish:

  • Lemon wedges - 2
  • Chopped onions - 1/4 cup

Instructions

Procedure for sprouts chaat recipe:

Boiling:

  1. Rinse a cup of sprouts 2 times in a running water and add to a pan
  2. Pour a cup of water, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 2 pinches of turmeric mix.
  3. Boil the sprouts just until they are tender you do not want to overcook them or else they will become mushy.
  4. Dry it and transfer it to a plate.

Making chaat:

  1. Add 1/2 cup of chopped onions, 1/2 cup of tomatoes, and a cup of chopped coriander leaves.
  2. Also, add a teaspoon of chaat masala and a tablespoon of lemon juice and mix well.

Serving:

  1. Garnish with lemon wedges.
  2. Add more or less salt, chaat masala, and lemon juice to your chaat depending on how you like it.
  3. Toppings can include chopped onions, pomegranate, and sev.
  4. Serve boiled sprouts chaat as a breakfast or prefer to serve them in the evening for the best results.

  • Prefer mixed sprouts for extra flavour and texture to your chaat.
