Ingredients

Ingredients for tandoori chicken

  • Chicken leg pieces - 3
  • Oil - 4 spoons

For marination

  • Curd - 3 spoons
  • Ginger and garlic paste - 1 1/2 spoon
  • salt - 1 spoon
  • Garam masala - 1 spoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1 spoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon
  • oil- 1 spoon
  • Lemon juice- 1 spoon

For garnish

  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Lemon wedges - 4
  • Onion rings - 4

Instructions

Procedure for tandoori chicken:

Wash and slit chicken pieces:

  1. Wash chicken leg pieces and drain water, place them on a plate.
  2. Take a knife to create 2 slits on both sides of the chicken leg piece and set aside.
  3. so that our chicken will absorb all the spices and gives a delicious taste.

Preparing masala spices:

  1. Take a bowl to add yoghurt, salt, ginger and garlic paste, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder mix well.
  2. Squeeze lemon juice gives a mix.
  3. Add a spoon of oil mix well all the ingredients to form masala texture.

Marinating chicken leg pieces:

  1. Take a chicken leg piece dip into the masala texture.
  2. Mix chicken leg piece coated with spices completely.
  3. Set aside, repeat the same for all of them.
  4. Marinate the chicken leg piece for 30 minutes.

(4)Cooking marinated chicken leg pieces:

  1. Heat a pan over low flame add oil and marinated chicken leg piece.
  2. Add remaining masala texture to the pan.
  3. close the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Open the lid turn the marinated chicken leg piece on the other side and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Tandoori chicken is ready to serve.

Garnish:

  1. Serve tandoori chicken with onion rings, coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
