A very popular sweet specially made on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr. serves as a healthy breakfast recipe mixed with dates, dry fruits and milk.
Heat a pan over medium flame and add 2 1/2 spoons of ghee.
Add 1/4 cup of chopped cashew nuts, 1/4 cup of dry dates, 1/4 cup of pistachio, 1/4 cup of seedless dates, 1/ 4 cup of almonds and 1/4 cup of raisins.
Fry until they turn golden in colour and set aside.
Take a cup of long-cut vermicelli seviyan(approx 50 g).
Do not break the seviyan into pieces.
Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons of ghee.
Add seviyan and roast until it turns golden and set aside.
Heat a pan over medium flame and pour 1/2 litre milk.
Boil the milk reduce the flame and mix well.
Add a few saffron strands and mix.
Boil milk for 2 minutes and add 3 crushed cardamoms.
Add roasted seviyan mix well and cook for a minute.
Add fried dry fruits and 200 g milkmaid and mix well.
Scrap the sides and mix well.
Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, pour a glass of boiled milk and mix.
Adjust the milk according to the consistency of sheer khurma also adjust the sugar.
Delicious sheer khurma is ready.
Take into a serving bowl and garnish with dry fruits.
Serve immediately or refrigerate and can serve later.
